At Rock Brook for Kids we take the security of your children very seriously. It is one of our top priorities.
Our Personel:
From the very beginning each of our adult volunteers are required to meet rigid guidelines for their spiritual experience and maturity, personal conduct and integrity, and accountability amongst the RBfK team.
Following an application and interview process, each adult requesting placement on the team is subjected to a background check by national law enforecment agencies (Background checks are repeated every 2 - 3 years on all existing paid staff and adult volunteers).
When the process is complete with satisfactory results, new adult voluneteers are placed in class rooms with experienced voluneteers to guide their development and ablity to lead a classroom of our children.
Classroom Safety Management:
Although classrooms are in open halways with windowed doors, we attempt to keep two adults volunteers present at all times in each classroom as well as a RBfK staff member who randomly enters classrooms through out the service.
To complete the safety process, each child must be registered to be placed in a class room. This registration process provides us with suficiant information in the case of an emergency to contact the child's parent or guardian.
As part of the registration process, each child is "checked in" to classroom at the Registration Desk closest to their classroom. Each child is given a security label including their name, class, and an assigned a random number. The parent or guardian is then given a security label with the same number which serves as a "claim check" when the child is picked up at the end of the service. If a parent loses their label, they will be asked to provide picture ID to a RBfK staff member or adult volunteer. Please be understanding and patient if you lose your claim check, your child's safety is very important us at Rock Brook for Kids. Security labels and claim checks are collected at the end of the service.
Registration Process:
So how does the registration process work? There are two options available on most weekends. The short form and the long form (both forms are available on this page as PDF files to download, print, and complete before arriving at Rock Brook Church or are available at the Registation Desks).
The SHORT FORM is the most basic information and is valid for only the service a child is registered. After completing the SHORT FORM, your child will receive a hand written security label with their basic information.
The LONG FORM is a more complete picture of your child and is valid from the time the completed form is submitted through the remainder of that school year (around middle August). The week following the completion of the LONG FORM, your child will have a pre-printed label waiting for them at the Registration Desk each week to speed up the check-in process. We are very grateful for our parents patience and know their appreciation that their child's safety is very important to us at Rock Brook for Kids.
Forms
In the Link box below are .PDF files of both the SHORT FORM and the LONG FORM. Having either of the prepared before you come to church speeds your registration.
