our goal

Rock Brook Church is built, primarily, on two teachings of Jesus:

The Great Commandment

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36-40)

The Great Commission

“'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…' Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it." (Mark 16:15-20)

Our mission is to bring people to Jesus Christ and MEMBERSHIP in his family, develop them to Christ-like MATURITY, and equip them for their MINISTRY in the church and life MISSION in the world, in order to MAGNIFY God's name.

Our Story

Pastor Kelly Walter founded Rock Brook Church with a vision to help others find and fulfill God's purpose for their lives. In May of 1997, 92 people showed up for our first worship service under a shelter house at Raymore Memorial Park. Throughout the next several years we met in schools, movie theaters and event spaces.

In 2001, we built an office warehouse building as our worship center near I-49 & 58 highway in Belton, MO. We began adding weekend services and deepening our ministry.

Rock Brook is now 20 years old. We have over 1,000 people who attend our 5 weekend worship services. We offer Rock Brook for Kids during each of our weekend gatherings. We minister to over 100 College Age, High School and Junior High students. We have a thriving small group ministry for adults, teens and kids.

People are coming to faith in Christ and living out God's purpose for them in our church, in our families, in our community and our world. If you haven’t visited, we invite you to see for yourself how exciting church and even life can be when you pursue God's purposes with a passion!
