What is a Rock Brook Small Group
A Small Group is three or more people who meet to encourage one another in their faith, study the Bible, pray, and take next steps in following Jesus.
Beyond that, there's no set formula. Some do Bible studies, talk about life, dive deeper on the weekend sermon, discuss what God has been doing in their lives, do projects or hobbies together. The key is belonging together and desiring to learn how to live out the 5 biblical purposes of worshiping, belonging, growing, serving and sharing Christ.

When and Where Do Small Groups Meet?
This depends on the small group. Most groups meet weekly, picking a day and time that works best for them. Many of the groups meet in the evening, some in the morning, and a few during the day.
Most groups meet in a home, while some meet at the church building, and a few at a restaurant.

How Long Does a Small Group Meeting Last?
An average meeting lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. But often includes a time of chatting and eating snacks.
How Long Are Groups Together?
Some small groups meet for a semester or the length of a study, and then take a break. Some groups stay together for a short period of time, while others stay together for years.
What About My Kids?
Most groups do not offer childcare. However, we have seen small groups pull money together to hire a babysitter for an evening. Some have rotated parents to watch the kids, depending on the kid’s ages. We think your kids can really benefit from watching their parents invest in a healthy community of people.
