SERVING ON THE DREAM TEAM

You were made to serve
the kingdom of God.

The Dream Team is made up of members in the church who are serving the people in our church. From creating a comfortable environment by serving on the Hospitality Team, leading the next generation to Jesus by serving on the Rock Brook for Kids or Students team, crafting a dynamic weekend experience with the Worship Team, to growing people's faith by leading a Small Group — we are a team that supports the ministry of our church family.

Areas of Service

Baptism Team

This team champions our baptism process and works diligently to make baptisms at Rock Brook comfortable, safe, and memorable! This team primarily serves when you are here for worship (except for the set-up and take-down). It is perfect for a people-oriented helper that can empathize with pre-baptism anxiety and switch to celebratory excitement as people exit the tank.

Creative Team

This team supports the vision of Rock Brook Church by creating compelling, inspiring, and relevant visual elements to guide people in our church and community to a deeper relationship with Jesus. Most of this team’s ministry opportunities are project-based and include all aspects of video production, social media content, photography, graphic design, and copywriting. Future opportunities may include research of trends and innovations. Onboard with this team, and we can help you use your abilities, even if you need on-the-job training.

Events Team

From building it, decorating it, to tearing it down, this team works together to create excellent WOW-factor experiences for guests attending Rock Brook events outside of the weekend worship services. This team has opportunities for a wide range of personalities, abilities, skills, and passions.

First Responders

This team provides a reasonable response to an emergency, whether man-made or other. They provide for the safety or initial medical care (when practical) for all people located on the Rock Brook campus. This ministry is for the sheepdog who wants to be there for others. Some serving positions make themselves available should the need arise during the worship service. Other positions work around the campus and make time for a separate worship experience. Additional serving times are available outside of the weekend services, during events.

Growth Track Team

As the hosts of our Growth Track events, this team greets guests as well as provides assistance with snacks, room set-up/tear-down, materials, media, and connects with attendees. This ministry opportunity will be available outside of worship hours, but only once a month. Be an excited champion of the process that helps people take their next steps in their spiritual growth. GT Kids greets children and parents, as well as provides a fun atmosphere where kids enjoy interactive down-time while parents attend the event.

Hospitality Team

This team helps people feel welcome at Rock Brook. They serve in a variety of ways. Primarily, at our weekend services holding doors open for others, greeting, making coffee, ushering, or periodically setting up chairs. They look out for new people, help them get where they need to go, and answer people’s questions. The time commitment may vary, but most hospitality team members arrive 20-30 minutes before the service they attend. It’s also nice if they can stay 5-10 minutes afterward to visit with people. Some stay and offer hospitality for the next worship service.

Info/Resources Team

This team connects guests to the Church community through providing resources and information on all of our current events, ministry opportunities, and services at Rock Brook. In the lobby, your friendly smile and attitude shines through your helpful ways. No need to come to a second service.

Registration Team

This team welcomes families as they arrive at our Rock Brook for Kids area and facilitates the check-in process that ensures children are cared for effectively and efficiently. This team helps with check-in for events such as Growth Track and hub events and does so with ease and a smile. Plan on worshipping at a separate service to ensure adequate coverage and time for processing/paperwork.

Rock Brook for Kids Team

Rock Brook for Kids creates an environment where children are consistently shown the love of Jesus through worship, videos, small groups, games, and activities as they are directed toward Salvation and the Five Purposes of the Church. Dream Team members are part of our weekend services and/or Kids’ Small Groups, as they invest in the lives of children. Serving opportunities would be on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings, and/or Monday evenings during the school year.

Adults and Student Helpers on the Dream Team will have the opportunity to train with a RBfK leader before stepping into a classroom. Once a background check has cleared, new members have on- the-job training within the class they serve. Adults are expected to take a supportive role and encouraged to develop a leadership role in directing the class, as well as, getting to know the kids through conversations and activities. Student Helpers (age 10 and up) take a supportive role and model expected behavior as they build relationships with younger kids. When ready, Student Helpers can lead portions of the class.

Typical serving routine
  • Work one service, worship one service (example: serve at 5:00 Saturday service and attend church at 6:30 service)
  • Choice of nursery, preschool, elementary classrooms, and/or Kids’ Small Groups (some classrooms or groups have a greater need for adults or Student Helpers)
  • Serve in RBfK each weekend and/or Monday at your given service time (It could be serving in a rotation for some weekend classes)
  • Your serve begins 20 min. before service for RBfK team huddle and prayer and you stay until all children are picked up from your class, or the next team gets in the room

Small Group  Team

We believe that real life change happens in the context of relationships. Small groups are one of the best ways to connect with others. As a small group leader, you use your gifts to lead others with the same passion. You have the opportunity to pray for, encourage, equip and resource small group members. Leaders can set your own meeting times that won’t interfere with your worship time.

The Small Group Dream Team desires to expand the ministry through research/review of new small group study content, equipping/supporting existing small group leaders, and developing innovative ways to meet the every changing needs of small groups. An administrative-minded individual would be able to help collect data and communicate efficiently within all levels of the ministry.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a developing team that provides high-quality, Christ-centered care to people in our church and community. You will be trained as a lay caregiver to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. Stephen ministers are matched with a person experiencing a life crisis and typically meet with them on a weekly basis to listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support.

Student Team

A team that is building the next generation and incorporating them into our church. This team serves at Youth Group on Wednesday nights from
6:30-8:00 PM. From Jr High - College Age, the youth leaders help every student connect and take their faith to the next level. Look forward to ongoing training each week at church during the 5:00 Saturday worship service.

Worship Team

Through vocals, instruments, sound engineering, running media… this dynamic team serves our weekend worship services with music and production. Audio, video, lights and staging. The schedule is flexible in frequency, but rehearsals are Thursday nights. Then, we serve all weekend services, Saturday night and Sunday morning.
